The 17th UEFA European Championship, a quadrennial football competition hosted by UEFA, will occur in 2024. The competition, slated to take place from June 14 to July 14, will be hosted by Germany. There will be 24 teams competing, with Georgia being the only one to make their debut at the European championship finals.
This is the third time the European Championship will be held on German soil, and the second in reunified Germany. West Germany hosted the 1988 tournament, and Munich hosted four of the multi-national Euro 2020 matches. The tournament will resume its regular four-year cycle after the 2020 event was postponed to 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Italy are the defending winners, having defeated England on penalties in the 2020 tournament final.
The venues are: Olymplastadion Berlin, Fubbal Arena Munchen, Westfalenstadion, Stuttgard Arena, Arena AutSchalke, Frankfurt Arena, Volksparkstadion, Dusseldorf Arena, Cologne Stadium, and Leipzig Stadium.
